The American Classics Collection is a tribute to the artistic excellence of the early years at Pickard China. In 1893, the company began as a decorating studio featuring the work of many renowned ceramic artists from Europe and gilders schooled at the Art Institute of Chicago. The distinctive Pickard style of these hand painted pieces continues to be easily recognizable today, and they are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Pickard China's new archival collection of art deco accent plates and dessert mugs also incorporates the use of the original double circle Pickard trademark introduced back in 1898. The American Classics Collection celebrates Pickard's continued dedication to quality and artistry as envisioned by its founder, Wilder Austin Pickard, over 100 years ago.
